Grammy 2017: Date, Time, Live Stream & 59th Grammy Awards

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards are set to take place this weekend.
Beyoncé leads pack with nine nominations this year, closely followed by the likes of Drake, Kanye West, and Taylor Swift.
In terms of African artists, Nigerian man-of-the-moment Wizkid is nominated for his work on “One Dance,” he’s joined by newcomer Kah-Lo, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and others.

Some big artists are “boycotting” The Grammy Awards this year, echoing a sentiment that many musicians and fans hold: that the Grammys are irrelevant. They’re certainly not inclusive to African artists—can we move past the World Music category already?
But there’s still reasons to watch. Last year’s show did gift us with Kendrick Lamar‘s incredible and unapologetically African performance. It also gave Beninese icon Angélique Kidjo her third Grammy win.
We have all the details on the 2017 Grammys for you below.

Yes, you did.
